Fragas do Douro

Fragas do Douro affix, initiated its activity in the year 2004.

The Photos shows our two first dogs: Yuma de Pichera, a black giant, daughter of the legendary Greco de Pichera, 2004 Portugal champion, and Ti-Ti-Ti de Selium, a miniature Salt & Pepper 2004 yong World champion in Rio De Janeiro.

Later joined us two more dogs from the affix, "Pichera" and "Made In Spain" and finally our own affix "Fragas do Douro".

In the begining of 2008 we changed our objectives and totally refrased our breeding politic. With some grief, because we love all the variety of schnauzers without any exception, in special the black giants, that hold a particular place in our hearts. But the strong conviction that the quality we aim it's not compatible with the scatering of the purpose that we had set ourselves, made us leave, for now, at least, black giant and salt and pepper miniature breeding, and tri focus our activity in the developing of the black and black/silver varieties, making use of the hight quality of the dogs that we have and importing others from the best world breeders.

Since then, and because it's a very short period of time we know we didn't do many of the things we wanted, and that much of what we did was only possible with the support of many people linked to the world of dogs, Henrique Gabriel plastic artist that conceived our logo.
